    Trim

    Paint
The bloggers at DesignTalk received a really interesting question regarding trim paint and whether or not glossy paint is still in style. Fortunately, glossy paint will always be in style. Not only is it ideal for homes that have children and the possible dirty hands that frequent it but it is also a timeless classic for interior decor.

DesignTalk recommends Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Gloss or semi-gloss trim paint. "It goes on smoothly and touches up nicely." Glossy white paint is the most popular trim color due to the fact that it adds contrast and drama to bright or dark walls.

When considering trim keep in mind that decorative moldings add interest in an otherwise plain room and they should be painted to match the rest of the room’s woodwork. This is the same for a decorative baseboard; it’s important to stain or paint the baseboard the same color to match the rest of the room’s trim. These simple embellishments can create quite an impact to any room and are well worth it.
