I regularly fantasize about having a professional closet company customize my closets. The true professionals examine your wardrobe and storage needs first, then create a system built to fit your exact needs. Ahh…my mind drifts as I think of the order this could bring to my shoe inventory and my husband’s growing number of ties. I imagine drawers for my sweaters, shelves for my purses, a place for every pair of boots. Ahhh…serenity. Oops. Sorry, I drifted off to closet land for a moment. Now back to my post…
As it turns out, I’m not alone in my thoughts. 2007 is the year many Americans will finally take on the tast of closet and garage organization. John from Organizing LA tells us about the emerging trend:
"Riedel Marketing Group, a housewares marketing authority based in
Phoenix, Arizona says consumers will also be eating healthier foods and
doing a lot more housecleaning this year (thanks for the reminder). The respondents to the study tend to serve as a bellwether for the
general population, according to A.J. Riedel, senior partner. She said
they are often the first to embrace new products, which the
“mainstream” will accept in “a couple of years,” and that if they
reject products, so will the majority of consumers."
Sounds like it’s time to call your favorite custom closet company before demand builds and puts you on the waiting list. In the meantime, consider doing a little spring cleaning to lighten your closet load. There’s still time to donate those unwanted goods to charity!
